Food for Thought

The research leads left New Orleans this morning and headed to the Louisiana state capital, Baton Rouge.  We were met with an awesome breakfast care of a member of the research team and were joined by other family members in the local area.

From there, the team headed to the Louisiana State Archives and retrieved a number of death certificates and marriage licenses.  We are currently digitizing the newly acquired ones, including the following:

Death Certificates:  Louis Balfour/Bareford Atlas, Sr., Cornealous/Neal Phillips, Sr., Verlenna Russell Holmes, Charles E. Russell, Sr., Martha Atlas Lindsey

Marriage Licenses:  Charlie Russell to Mildred Alexander; Pierce C. Thompson to Barbara Smallwood; Louis J. Thompson to Lois Jean Johnson.

Then the team met up with more family for dinner and good times.
