Just located is a lengthy piece written by Charles Goffe that was published in the East Carroll Banner Democrat on May 8, 1897.  It's a profile (using the world loosely) of Henry Smith who was noted to be a loyal slave of Shapley Owen and his wife.  For more on Shapley Owen, please see this previous post.
