Ancestral Project With Youth Ends, For Now

Youth from the project, along with reps from organizations that were involved.

Last weekend signaled the end of the Ancestral Project for this year.  While I'm sad to see it end for this cycle, I'm excited about all the opportunities that it's providing me as well as the African American Genealogical Society of Northern California.  For a detailed synopsis of the event, including nearly 50 pictures, please visit the AAGSNC blog.

Additionally, two news organizations covered the event.

“Alameda County Students Learn About Genealogy in Berkeley” by Thomas Peele (Oakland Tribune, June 4)
“Students Learn About Past, Themselves” by Robert Mills (Berkeleyside, June 6, 2011)
